Belcolade’s chocolate Manneken Pis jets in for 20 Years of Passion celebrations This year Belcolade celebrates 20 Years of Passion - twenty years of producing real Belgian chocolate - and to help its subsidiaries around the world mark the occasion, many are being visited by a very special Belgian ambassador - a Manneken Pis made entirely from Belcolade chocolate!

The Manneken Pis - a statue of a little boy urinating in a fountain - is Belgium's most famous landmark, and on May 8th fifty-five of the custom-made chocolate statues departed from Brussels' Zaventem International Airport, bound for sixteen countries worldwide.

One recently touched down in London, and set off on a photo-op tour of the UK. To give the Manneken Pis an authentic taste of England during this leg of his celebratory tour, we took him to Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, a traditional English pub, and even a game of cricket, before being guest of honour at Belcolade UK's anniversary celebrations.

Similarly, other Belcolade teams around the world will be taking pictures of him visiting various famous landmarks as part of their 20 Years of Passion celebrations, and later this summer all of the photographs will be exhibited in Brussels.

Behind the sightseeing fun, there is a serious side to the celebrations. "20 Years of Passion provides a platform to remind our customers that Belcolade is the only Belgian owned company producing real Belgian chocolate in Belgium, and that we are passionate about creating chocolate that sets new standards for taste and consumer appeal. This passion is what drives us, has helped the business to develop and grow over the years, and today it burns ever more brightly.
