With consumers demanding more quality from today's baked confectionery, our new range of ActiFresh Solutions - a number of which are already clean label - make it easier for bakers to create mouth-watering cakes, muffins and sponges that retain their softness and stay fresher for longer.

Consumers are attaching more importance to the quality of their food, so the need for bakers to deliver longer lasting freshness has never been greater.  Recent consumer research from Puratos shows that when it comes to baked goods, consumers equate quality with freshness. This means that if a product is to truly succeed and be perceived as the baker's very best, it must retain that 'just-baked' softness, moistness and mouthfeel throughout its shelf life.

Our new ActiFresh solutions make this a reality; indeed, bakers can increase the perceived softness and freshness of cakes, muffins and sponges by up to forty per cent, three weeks after baking. They work perfectly with reduced fat recipes too; for example, in oil-based cakes a fat reduction of twenty per cent can be made without the perception of softness or freshness being lost.

Puratos ActiFresh solutions are available in powder form (in 10kg to 800kg bags), as concentrates or complete mixes. They are also offered as fat-based margarine or shortening in paste (10kg and 25kg boxes) or liquid form (200-1 and 1,000-1 drums).
