TheBaker's Dozen - a collection of highly flexible improvers, concentrates, flavours, mixes, chocolates and glazes from Puratos - bakers can create a variety of delicious breads, patisserie and confectionery from just thirteen ingredients.
Baker's Dozen has been developed in consultation with the trade, and through extensive research into the products and ingredients artisan bakers create and use most often. From the many ingredients we offer, we have carefully selected thirteen of our best and most versatile, making it easy for customers to identify and stock those that are most appropriate to their core business.
The collection consists of six improvers, mixes and flavours for bread, including the unique Easy Ciabatta which can be used to create over forty authentic Italian breads. For delicious patisserie there are three multipurpose cake, sponge and scone mixes, an apricot glaze for pastries, cakes and tarts, and a mix for confectioners' custard. And for confectionery there are two milk chocolates suitable for enrobing and coating all manner of baked goods.
All the ingredients are of the finest quality - for example, all of our bread improvers are free from hydrogenated fats - and are reliable and easy to use and, of course, by helping to reduce stock levels and complexity, customers that use the Baker's Dozen will have more time to spend on creating great tasting and altogether healthier products.
