I joined Puratos in 2024, bringing with me more than 20 years’ experience across FMCG across Supply Chain, Commercial, Technical and IT. What drew me in was the chance to contribute to something ambitious—an expanding Buckingham site, a growing customer base, and a company that truly values the people behind the results. From day one, I could see the passion in the teams here, and I knew this was somewhere I could make a real impact.
Before Puratos, I spent ten years at Greencore, leading major projects including the launch of two factories and the transfer of production between sites. Later, working with Genius Foods—one of the UK’s leading gluten‑free bakeries – I gained a deeper understanding of the bakery sector and what our customers face every day.
Those experiences taught me the full journey of food, from farm to fork, and allowed me to develop skills across factory operations, production scheduling, labour and material planning, forecasting, project delivery, CRM, and negotiation. Along the way, I’m fortunate to have been able to build strong professional toolkit too: Computer Engineering, NLP Practitioner training, GAP Negotiator accreditation, ITIL, Prince2, Six Sigma Green Belt, and CIPS.
I often describe Supply Chain as the nervous system of the business. We connect every area—operations, quality, procurement, planning, commercial—and help make sure everything stays coordinated and balanced. My team plays a central role in making that happen through planning what we produce, securing the materials we need, managing production schedules, and ensuring every product reaches customers safely and on time. I also lead the procurement function, which sources everything essential to keep the business running.
My specific role involves ensuring my team and the wider operational function have the tools to manage the business requirement for the next 1 -3 months. Also reviewing, challenging, and communicating the view further out to ensure we have the right strategy in place to meet the businesses expected growth.
I love the variation of working in supply chain. Everyday can bring you something new, and the different interactions we have with all functions through the business. My team are the face of the business from a day-to-day perspective, and I act as an extension of that. A key part of my role is to give our customers confidence in the actions we are taking, and that we always place their needs at the very heart of the decisions we make.
Being part of the expansion of the Buckingham site has been incredibly rewarding. Watching our operations grow, seeing teams develop, and supporting the evolution of our new capabilities is something I’m proud to be part of. Having more of our production under one roof gives us a great opportunity to standardise methods and raise the bar to deliver operational excellence.
It’s tough to choose just one product so I would have to say the Cacao Trace program and range – I am extremely proud to work for an organisation that makes real positive change in the world.
