We are committed to providing a workplace where every colleague can carry out their role safely and with confidence.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) investigation reported in recent coverage relates to matters examined during an assessment at our Buckingham site in 2024. Since then, we have worked constructively with the HSE and taken extensive action to strengthen our controls and ways of working. We have implemented a comprehensive improvement programme combining engineering controls, operational changes and additional employee training. This has included investments in dust-control and extraction measures, upgraded respiratory protection when needed, and mechanical handling equipment, alongside ongoing automation projects designed to further strengthen workplace safety.

We have also strengthened our overall safety governance through enhanced site inspections, monitoring and health surveillance programmes, helping to ensure that high standards are maintained across our operations.

Safety is fundamental to how we operate across all our facilities. We remain committed to continuous improvement and will continue to invest in technologies, processes and practices that support the wellbeing of our people.
