Puratos UK distribution update

August 2021

Dear valued customer,

As I am sure you are aware the UK is experiencing a significant challenge with our food distribution network as a result of a significant lack of trained HGV drivers and a very busy demand versus capacity situation.

We would like to advise that we are working with our haulier network to provide as much information, as quickly and efficiently as we can to keep our customers informed of their deliveries and, where at all possible let customers know in advance if there are any issues. Sadly, we realise that we are often also advised very late, or not at all as the hauliers struggle to re-arrange deliveries having been given very short notice or no notice at all on driver shortages. Often transport routes are planned 24 hours in advance and as such it is incredibly difficult to re-route and re plan what can sometimes be several routes.

We fully accept that this is a difficult situation, and we would like to offer our sincere apologies and assure you we are doing all we can get have accurate information as soon as we can, please bear with us we are trying to manage the situation as best we can.

Once again thank you for your continued support, we appreciate it. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Many thanks

Gary Wyman - National Supply Chain Manager
