Julia joined Puratos in May 2015 as the UK Sales Director, before becoming Managing Director two years later in July 2017. Having spent over 15 years in the Food & Drink Industry in various leadership and commercial roles for Britvic Plc, Molson Coors and Luminar Plc, her experience includes both B2C and B2B across the Retail, Foodservice and Leisure channels. An advocate of health and wellbeing, Julia was attracted to Puratos for their ambitious commitment to innovate in a way that enables future generations to improve their understanding and relationships with food. She’s proud to be part of an organisation that contributes to reducing global hunger. In her spare time, she studies organisational design and work cultures, and works with various organisations to improve inclusion and diversity in the workplace. She also teaches yoga as part of her of campaign to make wellness accessible to all and loves food because of the lasting memories it creates with her family, friends and teams.
Jo joined Puratos in 2011 and has been leading Large Industry, Retail and Foodservice channels since 2018. Jo found her way into food after leaving a city career with a dream to start her own food company. After training at Leith’s School in London, she spent the next 3 years at Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant after which she co-founded ‘Two Fishwives’. Jo’s spent the last 15 years working in bakery including sales roles at La Fornaia, latterly Grupo Bimbo and Senior KAM at Puratos . Outside of work Jo is a mum of one and a keen runner having completed the 2019 London Marathon and now training for triathlons.
Lee has been part of the Puratos team for 10 years, having worked in various sales roles during that time. He is passionate about providing customers with ingredient solutions which provide the consumer with great-tasting and innovative products. He has worked in sales within the food manufacturing and ingredients sector for over 20 years and developed a passion for food during his years in foodservice. Outside of his work, he enjoys both cooking and eating out. This has led to him developing a healthier hobby - cycling!
Philippa joined Puratos in June 2019 as Senior Product Manager then started leading the Marketing team in May 2020. Having spent over 14 years working in food marketing at Synergy, Bidfood and Grupo Bimbo Philippa’s experience and knowledge spans ingredients, foodservice, wholesale and FMCG. She was already a keen baker and eater of cakes and cookies before joining Puratos and is a recent sourdough convert thanks to everything she’s learnt about it over recent years. Philippa is also passionate about consumer insights and understanding what drives purchase decisions. The Puratos Taste Tomorrow research is one of the things that attracted her to the company. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, HIIT, cycling and walking the dog to burn off all those cake calories.
James' passion for bakery led him to Puratos in 2010 where he spent 5 years helping customers in our French business. He's dabbled in food R&D since 1998, with experiences covering tea, ice-cream and frozen foods before focusing on bakery. As well as leading the R&D team at Puratos, James is President of ABIM. Most recently he’s been creating delicious sourdoughs for Puratos UK using a variety of gluten free flours, all in preparation for the launch of the first UK-made living sourdough range. James likes to bake, eat and explore - not necessarily in that order. He loves to get outside and can be found walking, running, cycling and generally getting up to mischief with his children whenever the opportunity arises.
Martin joined Puratos as HR Director in September 2018, having undertaken various specialist and generalist HR roles during his career. Puratos is his first step into the world of food production, having worked mainly in the leisure industry before, he has been delighted to see the huge synergies that exist across both. Martin found the passion to deliver an exceptional product to customers and the dedication of employees shone through at Puratos from day one. He believes it’s the people that truly make or break a business. Martin can say that Puratos is in the best hands it can be. Being the ‘people lead’ for the UK fills him with immense pride and satisfaction. When he’s not at work, he can usually be found enjoying a good film, following football, or on a long dog walk with his Cockapoo, Monty.
Zac joined the Puratos team towards the end of 2020. His journey into accountancy started at a local Chartered Accountancy Practice. Qualifying as a Certified Chartered Accountant in 2001, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the team having worked within finance both in the UK and overseas across multiple business sectors, including the manufacture of food flavourings. He is passionate about influencing decision making through sound financial data, business partnering and adding value across all facets of business. In his spare time, Zac enjoys spending time with his family, running and coaching youth football at his local grassroots football club.
Dave has worked in manufacturing for over 15 years, developing a passion for helping sites improve through operational excellence programmes, value-mapping and optimising efficiency. He has been part of the Puratos team for 5 years. Outside of work, Dave enjoys life with his family, in particular, his sons’ football through taking an active role in his team and also his daughters’ basketball.
